- - Elementary Library classes

Warm-up activity:
All elementary library classes start with a brief warm-up game. These games teach students something about working together as a group. And, equally important, they are FUN!

Story Time

Reading stories to children is a fantastic thing. Stories set the scene for a myriad of teaching opportunities related to every aspect of the curriculum. And, ever so important, they are FUN!

Research Skills
Developing a solid understanding of the research opportunities offered both in the library and on the internet is ever so crucial. Good research skills don't come overnight. They are acquired over many years. Learning how to do this, I am sorry to say, is not always fun.

Checking out Books

At the end of library class, there is time for all students to find and check out one or more books or magazines.
