Age Requirements and Grade Placement

The age cut-off for NIS grade placement for all grades is September 1. Students are typically placed in the grade with their age level peers.  After the first weeks of a student’s placement, the placement is reviewed to confirm the appropriateness for the student academically, socially, and emotionally.

ELC Kindergarten

ELC-K Born between Sep. 1, 2017 - Aug. 31, 2018

 

Elementary School

Gr. 1  Born between Sep. 1, 2016 - Aug. 31, 2017
Gr. 2  Born between Sep. 1, 2015 - Aug. 31, 2016
Gr. 3  Born between Sep. 1, 2014 - Aug. 31, 2015
Gr. 4  Born between Sep. 1, 2013 - Aug. 31, 2014
Gr. 5  Born between Sep. 1, 2012 - Aug. 31, 2013

 

Middle School

Gr. 6  Born between Sep. 1, 2011 - Aug. 31, 2012
