In Grade 5, students continued their inquiry into the Primary Years Programme (PYP) as a human-made system with students sharing and explaining the IB Learner Profile Attributes and IB Attitudes to their classmates with the posters they designed as visuals. They now have a clearer understanding of the importance of the Learner Profile and Attitudes as part of their learning. In addition, they had Mrs. A visit our class and lead a lesson on the importance of action as part of the PYP and as part of our school's mission. This lesson served as a springboard to the Community Learning Day coming up the week after next. This Community Learning Day will allow them to celebrate global citizenship through the exploration of the newly launched Global Goals for Sustainable Development. Fifth graders are exploring which of the goals they most care about. (10/2/2015)
