GIN Face Shields Project

Members of the NIS Global Issues Network club were meeting online over the past several weeks looking for ways to help out during the COVID-19 crisis.

They came upon the growing network of home 3D printers now in action across parts of the world printing face shields for medical staff and thought, 'we can do that!'

A connection was soon made with a local hospital and 25 face shields were delivered yesterday. These inspired NISers and their families are now busy perfecting their production processes and hope to deliver an additional 50 within the next couple of days. If you have a 3D printer at home and are keen to join the effort, please let the school know and we will help build a GIN 3D printing network.

Requests for more for another hospital have been received!

Recognizing that good work needs to be acknowledged, GIN members have also been working on thank you cards for medical staff.

We are thankful for all of the healthcare workers around the world who have been battling COVID-19. Any part that we can play in supporting them is important.
